Gary snuck a nice cat photo in yesterday, but I’m returning to finish out my photo series from Scottsdale. If you remember, I was showing you the exterior of the Art Building where I teach computer graphics classes.
On the inside, there is a new exhibit of metal sculpture installed. This is an iron mask by Erica Taylor Kenney on display in the Art Building gallery. I love this piece!

Superb detail. I want it on my wall.
Really love the texture and fine detail, in the wall and the mask. The one thing that takes me out of the moment is the harsh shadow. Given time, I would love to see the mask clipped out and placed onto a clean plate of the wall, with a nice subtle soft shadow comped in. Would make a stunning pic. You know with all that spare time you have…
That’s great feedback, Adam. Yes, ultimately that would be the way to go. Or I could just wait for better lighting and retake the photo (only there are paintings hanging now, which was why I just seized the moment that I had)…
Hi!
I am the creator of The Seer. Imagine my delight and suprise bumping into it online.
Please check out my business listing on therazzline.net
The Seer is for sale if you are interested!
I’m glad you found my photo of your sculpture, Erica. I wish I could afford to buy The Seer, but if it’s the same price you had listed at the SCC exhibit, I can’t afford it. I think it’s totally worth that much. I just don’t have that much. And if I did, I’d have to put it toward some home repairs … Sigh.
