'Gaudi' and the final 'this' are, in fact, links. Doesn't seem to highlight them here.

The South Bank Centre on London's river Thames is a pretty ugly example of 60s cold, architectural concretism (my word). Some architects seemed to delight in creating discord and imbalance while pretending to be advocates of harmony and grandeur. Great straight-lined blocks of brutal solid mass of the sort littering London (and the rest of the UK) during a particular historical period (and many still there!), give me a very bleak feeling.

I'm with you on your criticism here. The Tempe Center for the Arts seems profoundly lacking in beauty, soul and certainly Art. Gaudí will be weeping in his grave. Oh for a bit more of this.
