We have the American Grey Squirrel over here introduced in the late nineteenth/early twentieth century. They were imported onto a country estate (I think) and spread in abundance pushing out the native and smaller, and very beautiful, red squirrel. The reds are now confined to certain wilder parts of the UK. The Scottish Highlands, for instance, has quite a few. They're gorgeous creatures. But I have a soft spot for the greys too. Would love to see reds back in London parks.</description>
