I just found a set of photos on my computer that I had saved for upload, then never actually uploaded! And it’s awfully hot out. Hard to motivate myself to go out and get new photos. So, for the next few days, we’re going back in time, to April. Spring in the desert.
These are the flowers of the prickly pear cactus. Edible fruit follows behind them, kind of like tomatoes follow their little yellow star-shaped flowers.
They look like rose petals. Gorgeous.
