M Families

Continuing my series from Greenwood Memory Lawn, this photo was taken in a family section of the cemetery. Families get a large marker stone, around which smaller individual headstones are placed. The graves in this area date from the mid-1800s to the late 1920s. The surrounding trees are an odd, non-indigenous mix of olive trees and pine trees.

I see very few urns in cemeteries, usually much larger markers. This is a very nice shot, composed beautifully. I, too, am continuing the cemetery theme. Come visit for a poignant post re. 9/11/2001.
