Later that night we made a beautiful fire of our own. I say we, but I really mean “he” - my friend Don built the fire for us to enjoy. I just rediscovered these photos from a camping trip and realized I never published any of them. I hope you enjoy this brief interlude. October’s the kind of month that puts me in mind of telling stories around a fire like this one.
