Phoenix is in the process of building a light rail system. The main hub is downtown, where the rail system will link to the many buses. Off to one side are several old city transportation vehicles, including this trolley. I was surprised! In all the debates about what to do about mass transportation, no one mentioned we used to have light-rail. I wonder why it was discontinued and what has changed to make it viable again. I also wonder why a project who’s goal is to reduce traffic congestion has to maximize the street closures by tear-up the whole route at once?

you’re right what’s the deal, they couldn’t see it’s viability back then but, now it’s great!!
