The Westward Ho has an interesting decor. Like many of the Phoenix buildings from the time period, intricate reliefs were cast into the cement surface. My father’s father was an old-world craftsman who worked in stone, so the cement work leaves me with the impression of ‘cheap’ rather then stylish. It does give the building an unique appearance, which I do appreciate.
